iSIEW SOUTH WALES WHEAT YIELD. A HEAVY SHORTAGE. Received January 15, 1.8 a.m. SYDNEY, January 14. The official estimate of the wheat harvest is 8,686,000 bushels. The previous season's wheat yield amounted to 21,818,000 bushels. There will be a shortage of over two million -bushels for local consumption.

A storeman from a warehouse in York street has been attacked by plague. ANTHRAX. •FARMER DIES IN AGONY. Received January 14, 9.56 a.m. SYDNEY, January 14. A farmer at Maitland, 120 miles north of Sydney, was attacked by anthrax after skinning a cow, and died in great agony.
