TRAIN AND TRAM ACCIDENTS.
'TRAIN CRASHES INTO A 'BUS. TWO PAHIATUA RESIDENTS. • INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 13. At Avondale to-day a train crashed into a 'bus which attempted to cross just in front of it. The driver of the 'bus, H. Farrar, and the two passengers, William Shepherd, a school teacher of Pahiatua, and William Horton, a nurseryman of the same place, were injured, Shepherd somewhat seriously.
TRAMCAR COLLIDES WITH WAGON. BOTH DRIVERS INJURED. AUCKLAND, January 13. The Kingsland tramcar and u wagon collided in Symonds street this morning, the wagon being jammed between the car and a centre pole. Both vehicles were damaged, but the horses escaped injury. Bags of coke from the wagon were strewn over the front platform of the car. The drivers of both vehicles, Tukes. and Tracey, were conveyed to a private hospital, but their injuries are' confined to cuts and bruises and are not serious.
