DEPOSITION OF ABDUL AZIZ. MULAI HAFID PROCLAIMED. i Received January 13, 10.27 p.m. MOROCCO, January 13. The deposition of Abdul Aziz, and the proclamation of Mulai Hafid as Fez, and also the Nationalist movement, is due to Abdul Aziz asking the Ulema of Fez to sanction the keeping of the Christian troops in order to enable him to reassert his authority. Little beyond Kabat is in the hands of Abdul Aziz, and even there the population is hostile to him. General Lamade is advancing towards Rabat to protect the Spanish mission and the European residents. LONDON, January 13. "The Times' " Paris correspondent asserts that there is a consensus of opinion that Mulai Ha fid's permitting of a Holy War against all Europeans should impel the Powers to support Abdul Aziz, who is a guarantee for Europe in the execution of the Act of the Algeeiras Convention.
