Admiral Fawkes.

| TIMARU, January 10. "Admiral Fawkes and Lady Fawkes arrived here this afternoon, and were met by the Mayor and Commander Bentinck, of the Prometheus. The party were entertained at lunch, and taken for a motor drive. Thev were afterwards accorded a public welcome. Admiral Fawkes and party ■will leave for Mt. Cook this afternoon. During the visit the Admiral's flag will be flown on the cruiser Prometheus, at present in the harbour. 'lt is the first occasion such a flag haß been flown here.
