Troublesome Man-o'Wars-men.
BEFORE THE COURT.
AUCKLAND, January 10. Two man-o'-warsmen, Murtagh and Grant, appeared at the Police Court this morning on charges arising out of the disturbance in the street last night. The Jack tars were using bad language to two ladies, and a constable and civilian who interfered, were roughly used. Mr Dyer, S.M., said he felt it his duty to teach offenders and others a lesson. They were convicted on the charge of using obscene language and each fined £4 10s and costs for the assault.
