ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
BY TKIiEQEAPH— PEF.KB ASSOCIATION-. DUNEDIN, January 10. At the inquest on Kathleen M. Meade, aged 15 years, who died from the wound of *. revolver bullet at St. Kilda yesterday, a verdict of accidental death was returned. The medical evide-ice as to the trend of the bullet was against any theory of suicide. The family's evidence was that the girl was of a bright, spirited and cheerful disposition. CHRISTCHURCH,. January 10. Geo. E. Stirling, an engine-driver, died suddenly at Bennetts last night. Stirling was on the train service between Bennetts and Kaiapoi, and was on duty yesterday apparently in good health and spirits. About midnight he had a seizure, and although everything possible was done for the man he expired about an hour afterwards. Ellen Rose Berry, seven years of age, whose mother resides at Killinchy, was found dead in her bed this morning at the residence of her sister,- Mrs Morris, Bass Street, Woolston.
