The New Zealand footballers played the twenty-seventh match of their tour to-day at Workington, where they met a team representative of Cumberland. In the first spell the Cumberland men pressed the opposition throughout, putting up 15 poinds to nil. In the second the New Zealanders got goi..g, and scored 9 points, the game endingCumberland (three goals, five tries) 21 New Zealand (three goals, one try) 9 (The New Zealanders have played 27 matches, of which 16 have been won, nine lost, and two drawn. Points for 335, against 214. The next game will be played on Saturday next at Wigan; it will be a "test" match against England).
