A Press Association telegram from Wellington states that the Rev. A. M. Johnson, vicar of S. Matthew's Masterton, has been appointed to succeed the late Rev. R. Coffey as Vicar of S. Marks Parish, Wellington. Mr E. C. Jack, colonial secretary of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, k. returned to Wellington on Wednesday from a holiday trip to Sydney. Miss Holloway, who is shortly to be married, was entertained by a large number of friends at a euchre party at tne Foresters' Hall, last evening. After tho euchre a dance , took place, and a very enjoyable evening was passed. During/the evening Miss Holloway was presented by Mr A. W. Hogg, M.P., on behalf'of the assembled company with a handsome silver jug and dish and .silver epergne and fork.
