AN EX-BANKER ARRESTED.
ILLEGALLY CERTIFYING TO CHEQUES. Received January 8, 8.56 p.m. NEW YORK, January 8. Augustus Heinze, ex-president of the Mercantile National Bank, has been arrested here for illegally over certifying cheques on that "bank at the time of the late crisis.
