Charges of Theft.
DANNEVIRKE, January 7. At the Magistrate's Court, this morning. Jno. Mitchell was charged with theft from a dwelling of £4 10s in cash. Accused was remanded. Martin Luther Murray, recently committed for trial on a charge of sheep stealing, was further charged to-day with the theft of 100 sheep, valued at £lls, the property of Hare Nepe, a native. Accused was remanded for eight days. Bail was granted in accused's own recognisance of £IOO and two sureties of £IOO each. The police opposed bail being allowed.
