LAND BOARD ELECTIONS.

IiVTELEGKAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. NELSON, January 3. Pour candidates stood for election to the Nelson Land Board, and the Rev. Sinclair was 'returned by a large majority. A large number of invalid votes were received. BLENHEIM, January 3. The results of the first Land Board election by Crown tenants under th e new legislation were made known today. There were six candidates and Mr John Duncan was returned by a large majority. The total votes polled numbered 461; the number of voters on the roll was 748. Mr Duncan opposed the Hon. C. H. Mills at the last two Parliamentary elections in the Opposition interest.
