Destructive Grass Fire.
BLENHEIM, January 3. A grass fire broke out this afternoon on the range of hills to the south of the town, the property affected being the Withier Run, which is a portion of the Carter Estate. Several hundred acres of pasture were devastated, some fencing was burned, and about £3OO worth of oat crops in stook destroyed. A party of fire-fighte.rs stopped the further spread of the flames.
