ANNUAL MEETING. BY TELE 3 :iArH—PRESS ASSOCIATrOx/ AUCKLAND, January 1. • The Auckland Rifle Aesonation's annual meeting, at Penrose, was commenced to-day, in fine weather. There were 113 entrise—a considerable increase on those of the previous year. The principal results arc as follows Patron's Match.—Trooper G. H. Kiptmon (Franklin Mounted Rifles), $6 points, first; Private G. Farley (Victoria Rifles), 66, second. President's Match.—Sergt. J. F. Atkinson (Auckland Mounted Rifles), 96, first; Oapt. C. SimDson (Akarana Rifle Club), 96, sacond; Rifleman Patrick (Akarana Club), 95, third. Vice-Patron's Match. Rifleman Patrick (Akarana Club), 67, first; Private J. Carlson (Victoria Rifles), 67, second; Private G. Farley (Victoria Rifles), 66, thiid. The meeting will be continued fcmorrcw. Privates T. Jack and J. Carlson, both of' Victoria Rifles, are leading for aggregate with 225 puints, H. G. Kimpton and J. Franklin, Mounted Rifles, being next with 223.
