ANOTHER ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.
STARTS IN JULY. Received January 1, 10.3 a.m. . NEW YORK January 1. Doctor Jean Charcot, in July, will lead an Antarctic expedition to Grahams Land, an island of the Antarctic Ocean, discovered by Biscoe ih 1832, hoping to reach Alexander Land, thence proceeding southward, using motor sledges. Dr Charcot expects that the French Chamber of Deputies will vote 600,000 francs towards the expedition, the public subscribing 150,000 francs.
