\ Consequent upon the retirement of the Chief Engineer of Railways; Sir J. G. Ward announces the following changes:—J. Burnett, Inspecting Engineer to be Chief Engineer; F. W. McLean, District Engineer, Dunedin, to be Inspecting Engineer at Wellington; H. Macandrew, District Engineer at Christchurch, transferred to Dunedin; C. H. Biss, District Engineer, Wanganui, transferred to Christchurch; F. J. Jones, District Engineer, Wellington, transferred to Wanganui; F. E. Widdop, District Engineer, Greymouth, transferred to Wellington; C. M. Benzoni, Assistant Engineer, Wellington, transferred to Greymouth.
