OTAGO v. WELLINGTON. PA' TKLEGIUPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, December 27. The Wellington and Otago teams met this afternoon in a match which so far has been productive of some of the feeblest batting seen on the Basin Reserve for a long time. The visitors went in on a good wicket, and were disposed of for 115, of which Fisher made 34 by vigorous hitting. The rest failed, but Siedeberg was given out lbw when he had scored 21, and was shaping for a good innings. Cobcroft took four wickets for 20. Wellington did even worse. No one could stand up to Torrance, who clean bowled six men, only 23, so far, being hit off him. His yorkers were especially deadly. Mahony (not out 16) is the only batsman who has shaped respectably. The total is only 55 with four wickets to fall. I The wicket was in capital order.
