The third annual sports gathering of the Carterton United Friendly Societies was held on the Showgrounds, at Carterton, yesterday. There was a fair attendance of the public, and fine weather The Carterton Brass Band enliveneu thn proceedings throughout the day. The following are the results of the various events:
Maiden Race, 150 yards—J. Johnson 1, T. Reid 2. Time, 17scc. Nine starters.
