VIENNA, December 24. The Hungarian Premier and Her Polonzi, ex-Minister for Justice, fought a duel at Budapest, owing to a Parlamentary quarrel. After two bloodless bouts the combatants were reconciled to each other. ROME, December 24. A wealthy engineer of Verona was found dead in the Rome-Ancona express. He had been stabbed thrice in the body, and his clothes had been rifled of title deeds valued at£l4,ooo. NEW YORK, December 23. The Sabbatarian restrictions in New York have failed, and Sunday entertainments have re-commenced at the theatres and dancing halls. VIENNA, December 24. An imitator of the Kopenick "hero" gained access to the regimental safe at Vienna arsenal, and abstracted £1,200. (At Kopenick, in Germany, a cobbler dressed up as an officer, and ordered some soldiers to arrest the Mayor of the town. When this was done the cobbler helped himself to the funds.
