IV TELEGRAPH-MESS ASSOCIATION. HOKITIKA, December 23. As incidental to the Hospital rumpus at Kumara, in which Dr. Valir,tine and the hospital trustees had a warm passage-at-arms in reference to hospital matters, the matron of the institution resigned on Saturday, when the trustees promptly accepted her resignation and relieved her of further duty. A public meeting is to be held at Kumara to-nieht regarding hospital matters. Mr Seddon, M.P., reached the Coast to-day, being invited to attend the meeting, which, from the excitement worked up, promises to be a very large one.
