NEW ZEALAND v. WARRINGTON. VISITORS DEFEATED. Received December 22, 5.21 p.m. LONDON, December 21. A match was played to-day between the New Zealand and Warrington teams.. The ground was sodden and slippery. New Zealand, playing with a stiff breeze, led at half-time by two goals and a try to Warrington's goal and try. Afterwards Warrington pressed severely, and eventually scored a try, winning by eight points to seven. AUSTRALIAN TEAM FOR ENGLAND. BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received December 22,4.16 p.m. SYDNEY, December 21. A cablegram has been received from the Northern Rugby Union, inviting the Australian Rugby League to send a team to England next year on the same terms as the New Zealanders. It has been decided to accept the invitation, and the team will leave in August.
