CHRISTCHURCH, December 20. At a meeting of the committee of the Cricket Association it was decided to ask Dr. Orchard, Messrs Raphael, Thornton and Secretan, to act as a sub-committee to collect subscriptions towards the cost of a professional cricket coach for Canterbury.

WELLINGTON, Deember 20. The cricket match between Wellington and Wanganui Colleges eluded to-day, Wellington winning by four wickets. Wellington made 242 (Grace 92, Martin 44, Fiudlay 25), and 57 for six wickets (Greatbatch 20). Wanganui made 123 (Wheeler 30 not out) and 171 (Fulton Smith 29, Knight 25, Wheeler 24).
