Mr G. H. Cullen, of Masterton, has received information that he has succeeded in passing the- first section of the examination for solicitor, taking four subjects. Mr Cullen was coached by Mr B. J. Dolan. His many friends will congratulate him upon his success.

Mr H. J. O'Leary, received a telegram yesterday, stating that his son, Humphrey, had been successful in passing the final examination for the LL.B. degree. At yesterday's meeting of the Masterton School Committee a resolution was passed placing on record the committee's satisfaction at Mr O'Leary's success.
