LAJ PATRIA NOMINATED FOR THE PRESIDENCY. BOMBAY, December 13. A crowded meeting at Poona endorsed the nomination of Laj Patria for the Presidency of the National Congress. (Laj Patria was prominent in the disturbances at Lahore early in the year. He was deported to the Andaman Islands, but was recently released, and received with great rejoicing in Calcutta.)
