ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
IJV TKLKOKAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, December 15. A man, named Thomas Hilligan, was picked up in the Wellington harbour, by some boatmen, on Saturday afternoon. Hilligan was apparently dead, but Constable Buttar applied artificial respiration and succeeded in restoring animation in about fifteen minutes. Charles Duncan, a farmer of Johnsonville, while driving in a gig in Lambton-quay, yesterday, was overtaken by a tramcar, the gie being struck and Duncan thrown out. He was picked up unconscious and found to be suffering from concussion of the brain. He was sent to the hospital. INVERCARGILL, December 15. Frank Brandford, aged 8, was driving with his parents, on Saturday afternoon, when the horse became restive. The animal was pulled up, and the trap seemingly ran on to its ■ W heels. It kicked out twice. The boy was sitting in front of the trap with his back* to the horse. The second kick caught him on the back of the neck He died on the way to the hospital.
