KING EDWARD SUBSCRIBES TO THE MOVEMENT. Received December 13, 10.47 p.m. OTTAWA, December 13. In connection with the celebration of the tercentenary of Champlain's landing at Quebec, His Majesty King Edward has subscribed 100 guineas towards Lord Grey's movement for the purchase of battlefields round Quebec, including the plains of Abraham, with a view to converting them into a public park.
