CARTERTON CLUB. There was a good attendance of bowlers on the Carterton green, yesterday afternoon. Up till half-past five three games bad been played. The following are the results:— Booth, Whyte, Masson, Eagle (skip), 37, beat Bish, Baillie, Downard, Hughan(skip), 11. Oates, Roydhouse, Parker, Booth (skip), 10, lost to W. H. Booth. Beale, Philpott. Bish (skip), 23. Imrie, Cave, Nix, Downard, 11, lost to Lindop, Reid, Ramsay, Masson, 31.
MASTERTON CLUB. The results of the games played on the Masterton Club's green, yesterday, were as follow: —Long, Rose, Richards, Whittaker (skip) 28, beat Moss, Williams, Dupre, Scott (skip) 9; Smith, Ogilvy, Blinkhorne, Cochrane (skip) 21, beat Pragnell, Robieson, Hunter, Cresswell (skip) 8; Mcintosh, Tabateau, Gilding, Carpenter (skip) 18, beat Ross, Harris, Finlayson, Robieson (skip) 6;Finlayson, Buttrey, Boagey, Smith (skip) 22, beat Claughton, Harris, Tabateau, Gordon (skip) 17. Feathers—Hunter, Giddings, Daniells, Prentice (skip), holders, 24, beat W. Pragnell, Bartlett, Richards, Ewington (skip), challengers 15. Buckles—Carpenter, Blinkhorne, Scott, Townsend (skip), holders, 30, beat King, Robertson, Dupre, Whittaker (skip), chal lengers, 10. Doubles—Buttrey and Gorton 9, beat Townsend and King 5. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs P. Gordon. Two new members were elected during the afternoon, making a total of 18 new members already elected this season.
