BRITISH LABOUR PROBLEMS.
LORD MILNER'S VIEWS. LONDON, December 6. In a speech at Oxford, Lord Milner, formerly High Commissioner for South Africa, advocated the establishment tif a Wages Board, the fixing of a minimum wage, and legislation dealing with sweating industries. The State would thus do for the weakest what organised trades did for themselves.
The Daily News applauds the speech, and urges the Government to act.
