GERMAN AID.

MUTINY AT ZANZIBAR. ORDER RESTORED. ( Received December 6, 9 a.m. , LONDON, December 5. The Standard's Berlin correspondent states that on the occasion of a recent mutiny at Zanzibar the Sultan Ali bin Hamoud bin Mahomed asked for British aid. The Vice-Consul, in the absence of the Consul-General, Mr Basil Cave, C.8., was obliged, as the British warships were- 100 miles off, to seek German aid. The appearance of a German warship helped to overawe the mutineers and facilitated the officers' task of restoring order.
