THE MONTE CARLO MURDER.
DEATH SENTENCE LIKELY TO BE COMMUTED. Received December 6, 9 a.m. MONTE CARLO, Dec. R. Goold remained impassive upon hearing the sentence, but hi* wife went into violent hysterics, and protested her innocence. She then collapsed. The general impression is that the death sentence will be commuted.: (Mrs Goold was sentenced to death for the murder of Mrs Levin at Monte Carlo in August last. In the case against Goold, it was found tha 4 ". there were extenuating circumstances, and he was sentenced to irpr prisonment for life, with hard labour.)
