The match between the New Zealand team and a combined Dewsbury and Batley team was played to-day. The weather was ideal, and the attendance numbered 8,000. The first half was severely contested, Dewsbury and Batley obtaining a try. Afterwards the visitors' threequarters proved too strong for the shome team. The final scores were:— New Zealand ... 18 points Dewsbury and Batley ... 8 paints. New Zealand scored 3 goals and 4 tries, and Dewsbury and Batley 1 goal and 2 tries.
