No bookmakers applied to be licensed at the Tahuna Park Trotting Club's meeting, the fee of £2O per day being considered unreasonable. "The bookmakers used to be charged £5 per da> for the meeting, and have sent a protest to the Premier and the Hon. J. A. Millar against a fee of £2O being charged. The Ministers have replied that in their, opinion the club's action is a very unwise one.
