LONDON WOOL SALES.
BY TELEQItAI'II —PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received November 28, 8.34 a.m. LONDON, November 27. At the wool sales 9,719 bales were offered. The assortment of merinos was good. There was a large attendance, and good competition compared with the closing prices of the October sales. Merir.os averaged a 10 per cent, decline, and crossbreds (which were mostly slips) a 7J>cl per cent, decline.
Received November 28, 10.24 a.m. ,'#.' LONDON, November 27. At the wool sales competition improved. The opening rates were fully maintained.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable message from their London office, dated the 26th instant:— Sales opened with a good selection. There is a large attendance of buyers and competition is animated. Super merino wools, prices are on the average 5 to 8 per cent. !o ver than tl e closing rates of September series;! Good and medium merino wools, 10 per cent, lower. Short, wasty and earthy woota, also faulty merino pieces, 10 to 15 per cent, lower. So far hardly any crossbreds have be n offered, prices are lower by 8 per cent.
