CARTERTON.
From Our Own Correspondent. Thursday. Bro. Lamn, N.G., presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., held in the Foresters' Hall last evening. There was a r.ood attendance of members. The Masterton Friendly Societies' Council wrote asking the lodge to agree to the holding of a picnic at some future date. It was unanimously agreed to support the proposal. Business of a routine nature was transacted. In spite of the inclement weather a'number of games were played by local bowlers on the bowling green this afternoon.
