Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Pahiatua tale he'd on Tuesday as follows: —There was a fair yardineT of sheep and cattle. Bidding for cattle was not quite so brisk as at last sale. We quote Aged ewes with lambs at.foot 15s 9d, shorn two-tooth wethers to 14s sd, 3-year steers to £4 10s, 4-vear bullocks £6 10s, 18 to 20-month steers from £2 lCs to £3 ss, yearling steers £2 6s. Total clearance of cattle, one pen of sheep unsold. Messrs Abraham ard Williams, Ltd., report as follows on their Pahiatua saA on TuesdayWe had a heavy yaruing of cattle, and a moderate yarding of sheep. There was a large attendance of outside buyers who operated freely. All cattle was quitted. We quote:— ' Shorn fat ewes 15s 4d, shorn wethers 16s 4d, 4-year bullocks 110s, 1\ and 3-year steers 80s to 90s, 2-year ateers 67s 6d to 735, 18-month steers 40s to 60s, yearlings 40s to 45s 9d, dairy cows 105s, cows with caives 535, empty cows 25s 6d to 435, heifers (2-year) 37s 6d, springing heifers 70s to 80s, bulls 40s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows on their Masterton stock sale, held yesterday: Only two lots of sheep came foiward. In cattle wo had an average yarding, but business was dull. We quote:— Cattle —Fit cows £5 5s to £6 10s, fat and forward cows £3 9s to £4 ss, cows and calves £3 9s, grown bullocks £5 23 6d to £6 17a, 2£ to 3 year steers £4 15s, yearlings (mixed sexes) best £2 7s 6d, others 32s 6d to 355, empty forward heifer.s £? 5s to £4 Is; pigs, slips, 12s.
