DECISION UPHELD.
A LARGE .INCOME. Received November 27, 7.30 a.m. LONDON, November 26. The Court of Appeal has upheld the late Mr Justice Kelcewich's de : cision allowing Mrs Jelland to retain the income of £IBO,OOO left her by Mr Wagstaff. (Mrs Jelland, who had been separated from her husband, a medical student, attracted the attention of Mr Wagstaff, a Bedfordshire landowner, and the pair were married. They lived happily for some time, and "then Wagstaff died, leaving Mrs Jelland a large interest in his property. The will was contested by Wagstaff's relatives, and, driven to desperation, Mrs Jelland informed the police that she had committed bigamy. She. was duly tried for the offence, and sentenced to three days' imprisonment—a "till the rising of the court" sentence. Later, in regard to the will Mr Justice Kekewich gave judgment in favour of the woman).
