AFFAIRS IN MOROCCO.
A RECENT FIGHT. HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. Received November 27, 5.42 a.m. MOROCCO, November 26. In the fight with the French troops following the attack by the Beni Snasem tribe, the Arabs suffered heavily. The French commander, Colonel Telineau, foresaw the attack, and posted twelve thousand of his troops in an advantageous position. It is estimated that the Arabs had twelve hundred men killed, the French loss being one man —a Spahi. After the fight the French shelled a native village, killing 25 persons, and wounding a considerable number. PARIS, November 26. The well-known journal Le Temps says that at one moment the outlook was somewhat serious from a French point of view, ten thousand natives threatening to surround the French troops. ANOTHER BRUSH WITH THE ARABS.
. FRENCH SUSTAIN EIGHT CASUALTIES. Received November 27, 11.50 p.m. PARIS, November 27. Commandant Ujda reports that a force reconnoitring in the Kiss region encountered 1,530 Arabs. The French were compelled to retreat after sustaining eight casualties.
