METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. yesterday was 8 point?. Captain Edwin issued the following report at 9 a.m., yesterday, for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind— Moderate to strong, and generally between northwest and west and southwest. Barometer Little movement northward of Hokitika and Kaikoura; fall slowly thence southward.
