Acceptances for the first day's handicaps and entries for the Maiden Plate and Hack Scurry to be run at the Woodville Jockey Club's summer meeting, on Wednesday and Thursday, December 4th and sth, will close with the secretary, Mr E. The nominations received for the Manuwatu Racing Club's summer meeting constitute a record, being fiftv ahead of the previous best. The nominations received for the Manawatu Cup, 1 b mile, are: Maniauoto, -Polyanthus, Chatterer, Bourrasque, Sandix, William, Grand Slam, Merrie Rose, Moral, Truce, Gold Crest, Kurawaka, Marguerite, Elevation, Montigo, Roseal, Riflemaid, Saga, Tangimoana, King's Lynn, Landwern, The Rand, Frisco, Tha Lark, Zimmerman, Sir Tristram, Medallist, Tan San, Rosegrove. Thirty horses still remain in the Palmexston North Stakes, run on the first day of the meeting, including Aborigine, Bunyan, Downfall, Glenculloch, Sister' Anne, Elevation, Helen Portland, Oxton, The Rand, Formative, Count Witte, Armlet, and Elysium.
