WELLINGTON. .•« WELLINGTON, November 26. At the Supreme Court, to-day, James MacAllion, on a charge of assault, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment. Two lads named Frank Carroll and Francis Lyons, charged with setting fire to a building in Taranaki street, were found guilty with a recommendation to mercy. They were remanded for sentence. D LINED IN. DUNEDIN, November 26. In the Supreme Court, this morning, Alexander Ramsay, charged on seven counts with theft of monies belonging to Wilson, Fraser and Co., at Milton, was found g"ilty on the second count—stealing £7 on February 2nd. Sentence was deferred. The jury disagreed on tha remaining counts. The case against James Nicholson, Albert Churnside, and George Wilson, of stone-throwing and injury to an hotel, and intimidation, at Evans' Flat, is being proceeded with.
