FORGED BANK NOTES.

A BANKER IMPLICATED. Received November 26, 10.5 p.m. NEW YORK, November 26. During the trial of John R. Walsh, founder and president of the Chicago National Bank, evidence was given to the effect that the bank assets included a million pounds in notes bearing the forged signatures of men of good standing. These men testified that they had not signed the notes, and were unaware of their existence. The prosecuting attorney charges Walsh with forging the signatures to obtain funds for speculation.
