WON BY SIR W. CROOKES AND MR RUDYARD KIPLING. Received November 26, 9 a.m. LONDON, November 25. The Nobel prize for chemistry has been awarded to Sir. William Crookes, the eminent scientist, and for literature to Mr Rudyard Kipling, the well known novelist. (The Nobel Foundation is based upon the will e>f Dr. Alfred Bernhard Nobel, the S.wedish engineer and chemist, who died in 1896, and left part of hib fortune to constitute a fund from which the money from the prizes is drawn.)
