DISORDER IN IRELAND.
THE CHIEF SECRETARY'S VIEW. Received November 2(5, 7.37 a.m. LONDON, November 25. The Chief Secretary for Ireland, the Right Hon. Augustine Birrell, speaking at Belfast, and referring to lawlessness in Ireland, declared that in view of the disposition of Parliament, any one contributing to disorder or encouraging people to commit crime would not be a friend, but an enemy, to Ire'and. IRISH LEAGUE STOPS A HUNT. SEVERAL DOGS POISONED. Received November 26, 8.14 a.m. LONDON, November 25. The Irish League stopped the Ormonde hunt. Correspondents report that poison has also been laid in the country where the Kildare hounds hunt. Several hounds were poisoned at the last meet near Tullow, and two died.
THE MANCHESTER FENIANS
COMMEMORATING THE EXECUTIONS. Received November 26, 9 a.m. LONPON, November 25. To commemorate the execution in 1867 of the Manchester Fenians— Allen, Gould, and Larkin—a special Mass was celebrated in the cathedral at Cork. Later a street procession was held, those taking part including the Lord Mayor, a majority of the municipality, trade guilds, and political organisations.
