SITUATION CRITICAL. iLO'YALTY OF ARMY AND NAVY QUESTIONED. Received November 25, 11.30 p.m. LISBON, November 25. Seven hundred Portuguese oflicers tried to organise a demonstration at Lisbon in the King's favour. So many oflicers were piepared to assist in a counter demonstration that the police prohibited both demonstrations. The Premier denies that the Crown Prince has been banished to Villaviciosa. The Premier's attempt to govern without the Cortes is creating a highly critical situation. The loyalty of the army and navy -is questioned. Ma>>y newspapers have been sus .pended.
