RECEIPTS AND EXPENDITURE. LOSS NEARLY £90,000. ]iY TKI,KGIJAI»H I'KKSS ASSOCIATION-. WELLINGTON, November 23. A return showing the receipts and expenditure of the recent Exhibition from the 27th of May, 1905, 'to October 31st, 190 17 , was presented to Parliament to-day. The total expenditure was £239,970, and the actual loss made good by the Government was £87,617. The receipts included the following items:—Space fees £24,686, admissions £44,322, realisation of properties £16,469, season tickets £8,483, side.-show royalties £5,854, concert hall revenue £5,166, Besses o' the Barn Band £3,419, Seddon memorial concert £469. The expenditure items include the following :—Refunds to Government £27,117, main building £67,872, concert hall £6,433, organ £3,346, art gallery £5,639, machinery hall £16,417, fernery £2,567, lavatories £3,149, preparation and maintenance of grounds" £4,466, tlecorative expenses £1,328, statuary £3,776, furniture and fittings £2,660, concert hall working expenses £2,559, orchestral expensss £4,014, general exhibits (handling) £6,005, West Coast court £1,453, fireworks £1,159, Besses o' the Barn Band £2,528, wages of gatekeepers and attendants £3,376, five prevention £2,704, salaries and office expanses £7,61?, travelling expenses and allowances £1,953, printing, advertising and stationery £7,599, insurance, fire and accident £45,054, gas £5,221, electric light and power £7,606, general expenses £2,597, realisation expenses £3,392.
