The following Government bills are likely to be among the "slaughtered innocents" of the session notwithstanding that a fortnight ago the Premier included them in a list of two score of measures which the Government "intended to pass this session":—lndustries Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill, Chattels Transfer Act Amendment Bill, Meikle Acquittal Bill, Licensing Polls Bill, Coroners Bill, Public and Bank Holidays Bill, Divorce Act Amendment Bill, Law Practitioners Act Amendment, Bill, Town Districts Bill, Noxious Weeds Act Amendment Bill, Magistrate's Court Act, 1893 Amendment Bill, Municipal Corporations Act Amendment Bill, Local Bodies Loan 3 Act Amendment Bill, Watersupply Abolition Bill. In addition to these there are a dozen or more bills of minor importance which are to be sacrificed, if the Premier adheres to his decision to pass only the nine bills referred to by him on Tuesday last.
