The bu«y season is now commencing at the Auckland Government poultry grading depot, the staff being kept busily engaged. On Saturday the first consignment of poultry intended for the English market came to hand, comprising 200 very fine ducklings from the firm of Messrs Kemp Bros., Mangere. Some of these birds, though only ten weeks old, weigh as much as OJlbs \\fchen dressed ready for export. It is proposed to make up a couple of crates of prime ducklings and chickens and forward them to the King as a sample of New Zealand frozen poultry. The suggestion is meeting with the approval of poultry farmers, and some choice Auckland birds will probably be forwarded to his Majesty. JUDGING A MILKEB.
