THE GERMAN NAVY.
ESTIMATES FOR NEXT YEAR. Received November 19, 8.23 a.m. BERLIN, November 18. The naval estimates for next year total seventeen millions sterling, and for future years nineteen and a half millions. The constructive programme provides for three warships of the Dreadnought type annually until 1912, and two afterwards until 1916; also for one mammoth cruiser and twelve destroyers annually, besides submarines.
DOUBLE SQUADRON ADVOCATED. Received November 19, 11.15 p.m. BERLIN, November 19. Extreme advocates of German naval expansion urge Prince von Bulow to begin four battleships, and a large cruiser yearly with a view to securing by 1914 a complete double squadron of modern ships.
