The proprietors await the miners' decision before again meeting. f THE MELBOURNE RAILWAYS. CONSERVING THEIR COAL. Received November 19, 10.15 a.m. MELBOURNE, November 19. In order to conserve their coal the railway authorities are considering the question of the curtailment of some of the services.

RESULT OF NEGOTIATIONS. PREMIER'S PROPOSALS ACCEPTED BY MINERS. DECISION OF PROPRIETORS TO-DAY. Received November 20, 1.5 a.m. SYDNEY, November 19. The city has been anxiqusly awaiting the result of the negotiations that have been proceeding all day between Mr Wade, the Premier, and the representatives of the proprietors and miners. It was announced, to-night, that the miners had Mr Wade's proposals for the appointment of a tribunal to settle the strike. The proprietors will meet to-mor-row and give their final decision. A report, which however lacks official confirmation, states that the proprietors are prepared to accept the tribunal. To-morrow's meeting will only be of a formal nature, and the trouble is virtually over.
