CRICKET.
ENGLAND v. VICTORIA. -By Telegraph—Press Association. Received November 18, 9.50 p.m. MELBOURNE, November 18. The weather \va3 fine for the continuation of the match England v. Victoria. The wicket after Saturday's rain was soft, but quickly improved under the influence of the sun and the breeze. The home team treated the visitors to a day's leather hunting. The first wicket fell at seven, but after that there was a fine display of cricket, and the combination of McKenzie and McAlisler was a highly meritorious performance on a difficult pitch. Tarrant and Ransford treated the bowlers with more freedom, Tarrant especially playing a lively game. The Englishmen did not shine in the field, dropping several chances. When stumps were drawn Victoria had lost five wickets for 237. Scores: — ■ VICTORIA.
