CARTERTON.
From Our Own Correspondent. Saturday. The following consignments of cheese were forwarded to Wellington from Carterton to - day, to be shipped to London per s.s. Rimutaka: —Belvedere, 150 cases; Taratahi, 68 cases; Parkvale, 180 cases; Dalefield, 300 cases. An accident occurred in High StresjjiiEi Saturday. About 11 o'clock in theforenoon a. son of Mr A. Caclwallader, of Waihakeke, was riding along High Street on a horse when the animal took fright at a passing motor car. The boy was thrown to the ground, and sustained a sprained ankle. Three Methodist students will sit for examination in the local Methodist School-room on Tuesday. The Rev. W. J. Elliott will act as supervisor. Ox-eye daisies are making their appearance in and around Carterton. On several sections of land there is a very thick growth of the noxious weed.
